Why it exists

A plan in a folder
does not change a lesson.

Children feel SEND support in the classroom, through adults who know what helps. Assistant SENDCo is built for that work: a clear picture of need, support that fits, and honest review. The paperwork comes from that thinking, not instead of it.

How it works

From a child's needs
to everyday teaching.

Five connected steps, one thread from need to review. Every step builds on the one before, and every review shapes the next plan.

  1. Understand the need

    Start with a clear picture.

Plain-English descriptors for each area of need help you describe what you see, and can draft a write-up for you to edit. An EHCP's outcomes can be brought straight in.

    • Needs descriptors by area
    • EHCP outcomes brought in
  2. Plan

    Set outcomes you can see.

As you write, coaching asks the questions an experienced SENDCo would ask. Each prompt explains why it matters and where the guidance comes from.

    • Coaching as you write
    • Reasons with sources
  3. Provide

    Choose support that fits.

Provision can be suggested from the needs you identified, or chosen from a library organised by area. Each entry says what happens, who does it and how often.

    • Matched to identified needs
    • Provision library
  4. Teach

    Carry it into the lesson.

Each teacher sees the pupils they support in one place. Support is written so any adult in the room can act on it.

    • Teacher at-a-glance view
    • Clear, usable provision
  5. Review and improve

    Learn from what happened.

Review each outcome, record what happened and decide what comes next. Next term starts from what you learned, when you choose.

    • Outcome-by-outcome reviews
    • Reviews due, in view

Assess, Plan, Do, Review. The familiar cycle, with guidance at each step and professional judgement throughout.

Start with what you see.

Record the pupil's current baseline using structured prompts and professional judgement. Last term's achieved outcomes can be added as starting points when you choose.

Coaching for every teacher

Better plans.
More confident teachers.

Class teachers are responsible for the progress of every pupil in their class, including those with SEND. Coaching flags vague outcomes, missing timeframes and thin provision as they write, with a plain-English suggestion and its source.

The checks run in your browser without AI. The same plan gets the same score, every time, so teachers can see exactly what to strengthen.

For the class teacher

Know what helps.
Use it in every lesson.

Teachers write the plans for the children they teach, with coaching beside them. Then they see every pupil they support in one place, with the key details of each plan.

  • Provision written as what happens, who does it and how often.
  • Support can be suggested from the needs you identified.
  • Coaching that explains why, with the guidance behind it.

For the SENDCo

Inclusion across the school.
Attention where it matters.

The SENDCo Dashboard brings together plan quality, reviews due and overdue, needs by area and year group, the provision in place and a prioritised action list.

Your school holds the keys. Our servers store plan data encrypted.

How privacy is built in

Review and improve

Every review
shapes the next plan.

Unmet outcomes are offered for the next term when you choose. Provisions persist until you change them. Each review helps shape what comes next.

TERM 1

Set the direction.

Record the baseline, agree outcomes and put provision in place.

TERM 2

Build on the review.

Choose what to carry forward, with the previous term's work to hand.

TERM 3

See the plan grow.

Review progress and keep the record of what was tried and what happened.

Nothing changes in the next term unless you choose it.

The paperwork, handled

Paperwork still matters.
It is the foundation, not the point.

The documents your school needs come from the same thinking that shaped the support.

Ready for the conversation.

Download a formatted Word document in your chosen template, ready for parents and reviews. The document is produced in your browser.

Next year starts from this one.

On our main plan templates, next year's plan can start from this year's. Provisions, targets and strategies come across, ready to review.

Check any plan, free.

Paste one section of an existing plan into our checker and see the same guidance, with sources. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

Private by design

Sensitive information.
Considered protection.

SEND plans hold some of a school's most sensitive information. Privacy belongs in the way the product works.

UK data residency

Pupil plan data is stored in the UK (London).

Mandatory multi-factor authentication

Every account, no exceptions.

Access transparency

Cross-user access is logged, and teachers can see when their plans have been viewed.

Optional assistance

AI has a place.
You stay in charge.

AI is off by default. Using it requires explicit consent, renewed each session. It can draft an outcome or suggest provision; every suggestion is reviewed and accepted or rejected by the teacher.

Nothing you type about a child is sent to the AI — it sees only the statements you tick, the choices you make and its own earlier wording, never a name. Your SENDCo can switch AI off for the whole school. Nothing sent to the AI provider is used to train models, and it is deleted after 30 days.

And the quality engine that checks every plan? It uses no AI at all.

Is our pupils' data safe?

Plan data is encrypted on your own devices before it reaches our servers, using keys your school holds — we cannot read it. It's stored in the UK, every account uses multi-factor authentication, and our full DPIA and a signed Data Processing Agreement are available for your DPO.

Can we get our data back — or deleted?

Yes. Your school stays in control: plans export to Word at any time, and if you leave, your data is deleted on request. You're never locked in.

Does the AI see pupil names?

No. AI is optional and off by default, and nothing you type about a child is ever sent to it — it sees only the statements you tick, the choices you make and its own earlier wording, never a name.

Does AI make decisions about children?

No. It can draft a suggestion; a teacher reads it and accepts or rejects it. Nothing in the product makes an automated decision about a child.

Will it produce our local authority's format?

It exports to your chosen template, and we can tailor the format on consultation.

Do teachers need SEND training to use it?

No — that's the point. The builder guides every section, and the quality coaching explains what's missing and why, in plain English, with sources.

Is this another system to maintain?

It runs in the browser — nothing to install — and everything exports to Word, so it fits the filing and review processes you already have.

What does it cost?

Free during the preview period.

Can I try it before registering?

Yes. Our sandbox opens the real plan builder with a fictional pupil — no account needed. Nothing you type is saved.
